Top 10 Iconic Buildings, Measured in SPAGHETTI!

I'm pretty sure when Gustave Eiffel designed the Eiffel Tower, he never thought it would be compared to spaghetti, but I say 'WHY THE HECK NOT!?'

On the website http://www.toptenz.net/ they have a list of the 'Top 10 Iconic Buildings' and I thought it would be fun to compare the measurements of these monumental buildings to spaghetti! So here they are, enjoy and giggle!

Top 10 Iconic Buildings, Measured in SPAGHETTI!:

10. Hagia Sophia

This church in Istanbul is simply stunning! It reaches 216 spaghetti (180 feet) into the sky, and stretches 323 spaghetti (269 feet) across the land! IT IS HUGE!

This museum is one of the largest and most visited in the world! While the exact dimensions are, well, hard to get, I remember learning in grade 11 math class that the buildings (not the garden) were 700 meters by 300 meters (what a strange thing to remember!) So, if we go on that information, the museum is 27564 spaghetti long by 1181 spaghetti! WOW!

8. The Burj Al Arab

This luxury hotel in Dubai is the 4th tallest hotel in the world, stands on an artificial island, and looks like the sail on a boat. I'm not sure if it could be any cooler! It is 1264 spaghetti (1053 feet) tall!!

7. Sydney Opera House

This performing arts center is a lovely piece of modern architecture! It is 726 spaghetti (605 feet) long and at it's widest part, 466 spaghetti (388 feet) wide!

6. Empire State Building

This is building is shown in nearly ever tv show or movie set in New York City! Once the tallest building in the world, it is an amazing 466 spaghetti (1250 feet) tall!

I have been fascinated with this building since I first read Arabian Nights! I thought the domes were actual onions! At roughly 256 spaghetti (213 feet) tall at it's center, this building will always hold a special place in my heart! It is one of the places I MUST see before I die!

4. Eiffel Tower

This gorgeous tower is a emblem for romance, and is easily the most recognizable building in the world! It is 1276 spaghetti (1063 feet) tall!

3. Big Ben

This is the world's largest 4 four-faced chiming clock and is likely the most famous clock on earth! The tower is a whooping 379 spaghetti (316 feet) tall!

2. The Colosseum

It's an oldie but a goody! This is the largest Roman amphitheater ever built, and it was capable of seating 50, 000 people. The outer wall is 188 spaghetti (157 feet) tall and it is roughly 227 spaghetti(189 feet) long.

1. The Giza Pyramids

Ever since learning about Moses in Sunday school, I have wanted to visit the pyramids. The great pyramid of Giza is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and is only one to be mostly intact! It's present hight is roughly 546 spaghetti (455 feet) tall.

***It should be noted that all spaghetti measurements have be rounded to the nearest WHOLE spaghetti***
